The Implicit Career Search - ICS® approach

Securing Your Professional Path (Implicit Career Search - ICS®) is a training program developed based on the work of psychologist and scientist William Schutz, who created the Element Human. This approach relies on understanding human behaviour to improve self-esteem and professional effectiveness. The ICS training, developed in the early 1990s by Steve Miller, allows individuals to discover the profound meaning they want to give to their professional careers. It is now internationally recognised and has been taught for 20 years. 

The "Career Search" training is more effective than traditional skills assessments for those experiencing a loss of meaning at work, lack of motivation, or a desire for a career change. 

Evaluated in 2010 by the Working Links Employment Agency (UK), the "Implicit Career Search" approach showed:

• A satisfaction rate of 90% versus 43% for the skills assessment.

• A job placement rate within six months of 75% versus 31% for the skills assessment.

• Twice as much self-esteem compared to a traditional skills assessment."
